 Open Source can create and extract archives under Linux and Windows. Password protected archives with encryption are supported. Some of the formats (alltogether, over 80) which you can extract: ACE, CAB, ISO, DEB, RPM, JAR, EAR, WAR, LHA, LZH, LZMA, DMG, HFS, NSIS, RAR and XPI. Create and Extract: 7Z and 7Z-SFX, ARC and WRC, BZip2 and TBZ2, GZip and TGZ, TAR, ZIP and some more (view Screenshots).
Over 15 language files are integrated.

You can run the program from internal and external drives such as USB memmory sticks on Windows platforms and also under Linux immediately after extracting, an installation process is not required! Tested under Ubuntu, Xubuntu, Mandriva, Puppy Linux and Windows XP.

I made the Button with usage of the Logos created by Ali Bayeh. These Logos are published under the LGPL (Lesser General Public License), therefore the Button is now available under this license, too. Again I used a free font (Zekton Dots) from Ray Larabie!
 is another good program to compress and unpack your files. A lot of formats like 7z, ace, rar, tar, zip and more are supported, and the handling is simple. It's a very good alternative to Winzip, too. Languages: English, German and more.
